Group Activities
The COVID-19 Pandemic struck the world by surprise. Offices, establishments and even educational institutions were forced to close down or utilize online platforms to carry on. As a result, community immersions of AdZU-SOM also halted for 2 long years due to lock-downs and certain restrictions.
And now that the restrictions have been lifted,
the team is back and eager to serve the people of Boniao!

Courtesy call
Team Maayong Boniao started this community exposure with courtesy call, first and foremost with the Municipal Mayor and other heads of offices
Data GatherING
House-to-hOuse survey
One goal of the team is to gather primary data through house-to-house survey. Convenience sampling was utilized during the survey in all 7 puroks.
COVID Manual presentation
During the pandemic, a new task was given to the team - to create a manual on COVID isolation and monitoring. This was presented to the Municipal Health officer and other Rural Health Unit Staff
Medical Missions
Team Maayong Boniao was given the chance to participate in medical missions thru our community preceptor, Doctor Cocoy Ramos, in partnership with different sectors at Misamis Occidental.
Immunization and Blood letting
An invitation from the Rural Health Unit also reached the team - to volunteer in their COVID immunization activities as well as blood letting program
Implementation
The team was able to implement an activity on the 3rd week. COVID related posters were successfully put up on different buildings such as in Boniao Elementary and Highschool
General assembly
Week 4 pair successfully conducted a general assembly with the the barangay officials, including the barangay captain, kagawads, purok leaders, barangay health workers (BHWs) and barangay nutrition scholar (BNS) to present the results of the house-to-house survey, its interpretation and prioritization of identified problems.
