Group Activities
continued house-to-house survey
In order to have a bigger and better picture of the community's health status, our group continued the house-to-house survey, making sure we get to those we missed to interview during the last exposure.
COVID-19 Immunization
The team assisted in the Covid-19 vaccination held at Barangay Boniao Health Center, together with Mahayag Rural Health Unit staff, and the barangay health workers.
outreach program
The Municipal organized a Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) at Barangay Diwan and the AdZU-SOM medical students under the supervision of Dr. Ramos were invited. The team was able to take-part in different services and programs offered including free medical consultation, operation tuli, feeding program and health teaching.
Mass Blood Pressure Taking
As part of the Anti-hypertension program of the group, a mass BP taking was conducted to help in identifying the hypertensive residents in the barangay.
Waste Analysis and Characterization
Another community health problem identified in the barangay is improper solid waste management. Hence, the group did waste analysis and characterization (WACS). Residents from different puroks were selected to collect their wastes for 5 consecutive days for analysis.
Presentation of data and plans
It was an honor for the group to be able to present our work to the Sangguniang Bayan as well as to the Barangay officials. All analyzed data that the group has gathered, the top health problems identified as well as the plans of the group for each problem was presented to the government officials.
